To put face plates on:

For se-c, go to tutorials section. Get SE-C.

or hit up the very nice, informative, SE-C section at the qj forums. it's a very nice little step by step that ensures safety! Congrats on the PSP!

Startup the PSP while holding R, Go to "configuration", Now, go down to were is says " Game Folder Homebrew (currently 2.71 Kernal)" press X and it will change to 1.5 Kernal so that your homebrew applications run.

SE-C is better, but I have never heard of this. What game are you trying to run? Homebrew? ISO? If its ISO, then put it in the ISO folder lol.

it could be due to a bug I read up on. Do you have a folder named "ISO" on the root of your memory stick, try creating that and then check, this is a known bug for 2.71 SE-B, it was fixed in B"

wel it is a bug that has been reported a few times, so try making that folder.
