Heres a skin for the newest version of File Assistant ++ that supports skin changing

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
It's kind of small but it strestched out nicely on the PSP.

Heres the Font:
Image

If you want to use these on your File Assistant ++ you must copy one of the exiting skins folders, rename it and paste in all 10 of the above images, overwrite the old files.

For those who don't know:
The main part of the skin breaks down into 9 parts
1 | 2 | 3
----------
4 | 5 | 6
----------
7 | 8 | 9

and the 10th image is the font.

Heres a little something I did for the ICON0.PNG and the PIC1.PNG
Image
I also added the sound that Windows XP Uses when you logon to the application when you are hovering over the icon. Just little touches.
I also Felt it was a good idea to make it look like it's straight from the computer, but if you look in closely and read you can see small details that apply directly to the PSP.

File Assistant ++ is sweet.

Current Features :
Copy File
Move File
Delete File
Rename File
Make Directory
View Image ( tga, bmp, png, jpg )
USB Toggle
Music Playback (mp3, ogg, ahx, mod )
Run Executable ( pbp, elf )

Future Features:
Text Viewer
True Type Fonts
Skin Browser
PRX/BIN Execution

You can download it along with the source herehttp://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/FileAssistant-2005-08-29.rar

Changes:(credit to http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/fileasistant++.shtml

I would just like to thank all of those who appreciate what i'm doing.

If you want me to design something for you just let me know, also if you have any problems or questions just et me know.

Plus I found out the answer to my own question thanks to a link I was sent from Mailas Gonrai. It stated that the new File Assistant ++ supports having a background.png file for each skin. So basically if you don't want to have the distort versions of your ordinary backgrounds and would like to have a plain solid color, all you have to do is make a 1 pixel X 1 pixel picture of the solid color you want. The nyou save it in the folder of the skin you wish to change. The reasion for a the image being 1 X 1 is because it keeps it at a small files size, but you could do an entire image that has an image size of 480 X 272.

Modifications & Creations

Here are some of the pictures I have made and/or modified for the homewbrews I use on my PSP.

For those who don't know, PIC1.png is the image that is used as the game background when selecting your game and ICON0.png is the icon fro the game that is selected.

There are other files that can be of use at the game selection screen, like for example:

ICON0.png - Game Icon
ICON1.pmf - Game Icon Video (Once the background loads this will play)
PIC0.png - Game Background 1
PIC1.png - Game Background 2 (Goes over top of PIC1.png, good for text)
SND0.at3 - Game Icon Sound
PARAM.SFO - Application Data

I believe that with the PARAM.SFO you can have it add the text that i stated PIC1.png would be good for.
Im not entirely sure about this, so if anyone knows what i'm getting at please le me know. I stumbled across this when following a step-by-step proccess to changing brews from version 1.0 to version 1.5. There was a step that required you to make a new PARAM.SFO using PBP Unpacker and one of the lines in the PARAM.SFO allowed you to put in the game title.

Anyways, back to me Modifications and Creations:

If you would like to use these then i have no probelm with it. However if you intend on modifying them just ask me. Once you have my permission, don't forget to credit either the creator (Me) or your source (once again Me).

That's it for now, but there will be many more to come.

Now that people can really see the sort of talent I possess, feel free to ask to have something made for you.

Oh, and don't forget. Ask me if yuo wish to modify any of these and credit me once you have recieved my permission to modify any of my images or finds.

Here's a neat little background image I made for File Assitant ++. It looks really good if you use it along side the skin i created for it (The one that looks like it's from Windows).

Of course everyone knows this picture. It's Windows XP's Bliss, but i made a couple of changes to it for maximum appearance.

If you are to use it, you must save it as background.png in the folder of the skin that you wish to use it for.
Image

In File Assitant ++ you can turn the USB on and off. Presently, I am not quite sure what this does as I cannot connect my PSP to my computer dut to the fact that it doesn't read USB 2.0 High-Speed Devices. I settle with connecting it by inserting the memorystick into a card reader. So bascially I'm never running File Assistant ++ while my PSP is connected to the computer. The purpose to my mentioning of the USB Function is due to the fact that i created a pretty nifty looking icon for it when it is active.

If you are to use it, you must save it as icon_usb.png in the folder of the skin that you wish to use it for.
Image

Here's a snap shot of every part of the skin I made put together in-one, and in action.

Don't Forget to ask me to modify these images, and credit me when you display them.

P.S.

do you know where i can get a free version?

Adobe Image Ready

I use Adobe Image Ready CS to make the animations. If anyone knows of a way to make large files available online let me know because i have a trial version of Adobe Photoshop 8.0 CS with Adobe Image Ready CS. There is a crack that goes along with it that makes the trial version a full version. I am completely willing to make it available if somebody wants it.

Just PM and i'll send it that way until I can figure out a better way.
