Playstation 2 needs help

Sorry to bother you guys but i need help with my ps2 console, well it broke.
Here's the story while i was playing gta my ps2 just died when restarted the ps2 lights up but it shows a black screen, i checked if it was plugged in alllright and it was.
So can anyone sugest something before i go inside
P.S. there is no warrnty

HAH you bricked you'r ps2.. I didn't even know that was possible.
On a serious note though i have no idea. Perhaps you should google you're problem?

It does this when theres no game inside the tray as well?

it could be that the leads from the mod chip fell off.

It's possible to brick any game system - even going back to the atari 2600 days and beyond lol.

few things just came to mind
1. RF cord could have got the "pin" broken off in tv (if you use one)
2. RF or AV cord(s) could have failed.
3. could have overheated - which can lead to the motherboard stretching (b/c of heat) and broken a vital connection to the video out.
