I know there rates are cheaper but their coverage is spotty at best. If you can afford to I would go with an established company like Cingular or Sprint. Their rates are a little more but you will have reception in most spots.

i'm currently a cricket customer. I like their service but it isn't for someone that travels a lot. but if you don't travel it is the bomb. unlimeted calls and texts for one low price. The bad thing is their phones. I'm like on my 3rd or 4th phone since i got with them and i'm already having problems with this other phone. it's the slider remix. and also the battery life on most of the cricket phones is not that long. i don't know if its cause you tend to use it more or just causet they suck.
overall, like i said. the service is great for local but if you travel i wouldn't get it. I'm actually thinking of just doing away with it cause i got Skype for my computer so i already got a number where people could reach me at.

anytime. hey, another cool thing is that they don't have contracts. unlike all the other providers. so if you do go out of town for a month or two you could drop them then pick them back up when you come back.
