Yea I got a 2gb from walmart for like $40 XD. But that's in the U.S. It was a Lexar too. And I have a 1gb that I got from walmart for $30. It was a Lexar too. Just get them off ebay man. Wait for an individual seller (not like an ebay store selling one), and you can literally get a 2gb for like $15 or $20 shipped.
About a year ago I know I was getting 512mb's off ebay for $10 shipped.

Whatever you do, dont purchase lexar mem sticks. Theyre slow in transfer speed and they dont support some of the functions. (which is why theyre so cheap to purchase) Don't remember what functions off the top of my head, but if you want me to post i'll look for the articles i saw on them. But yeah your best bet is to purchase from best buy...just do some searching around for some places that have mem sticks cheaper than bestbuy and bring that to them cause they have some gauranteed lowest price that they beat anyone else by 10% or something like that. (or maybe thats future shop)

Really? I've had my lexar 1gb for at least 2-3 months and it works perfectly fine for me. Never had a problem, average transfer speed. I mean it doesn't have the best transfer speed ever but neither does anyone like Sandisk. That's the brand my old 512mb stick was. And it was pretty slow too. I have never really used a stick that was really really fast. Besides why buy one from bestbuy when you cna get the same thing for $20 cheaper on ebay?

peoples comments on lexar sticks say that plugins dont work straight from the memory stick and speeds are a little slower...couple of other things as well but they seem iffy to me anyways here you go if you want to read over them...

@ace if you bought your sandisk off ebay then thats why its slow. Ebay sells fake sticks. I have one i bought from ebay and one i bought from best buy...the ebay one reads/writes slow, while the one from best buy reads/writes more than twice as fast as the one off ebay.
Anyways to add on to places to purchase mem sticks from, you might want to check out frys.com
