I setup a page to collect user-agents from web browsers. It is just a simple page that says thank you. The purpose of this page is to find out what all user-agents are currently available for the PSP browser. I am using this research to develop a site for the PSP. Once I have collected enough data I will begin coding the site. I am hoping to get the ball rolling soon. I think you all will enjoy it. I will release a proposal within a week or two detailing all the features. What I need from everybody here is for you to browse to the link below WITH YOUR PSP. This will tell me the user-agent each firmwares browser uses. I don't need any responses here saying you went. I will see that in my log. Admins, this is not promoting a site I am asking for help to develop for the PSP, please do not remove this post. You can lock it though if you don't want it to be pointlessly spammed.

Disclaimer:
I am only collecting user-agents. I am not spying on you. Below is the only thing I will see on my log of your visit.
  Code:
Mozilla/4.0 (PSP (PlayStation Portable); 2.00)

Thanks for your help and hopefully soon you will have more than just a portal to use on your PSP.

I am building a online portal for the PSP. Not one you put on the memory stick. I am trying to get games and videos to play in the browser without downloading them. I am also setting up feeds for music so that you can listen to the music without downloading it as well. I will also have a blog with the latest news and releases in the homebrew scene. Basically, it is a one-stop shop for media and news that you can check out from the PSP browser. I have some tinkering to do because I have to get a flash player for the video that will run on the PSP. I know it uses flash 6 so that is my jumping point for this feature. Also if the browser EVER actually displays the firmware the user is using correctly I will setup a download tool for homebrew. The way it would basically is you log on to the site using your PSP and the site can tell the firmware you are using then shows only homebrew that is compatible with that version. This would go for wallpapers, icons and other hacks as well. There it is my whole idea just laid out for ya...lol.

Edit:
Also please only visit the link with your psp...somebody visited it with their computer and I just have to delete those entries.

Right now the main problem I am having is finding a video player written in Flash 6 or less. Everything I can find is in Flash 8. I have no coding experience in Flash so that feature might take a bit. I have the music feeds sort of working but it needs some work. I have found a bunch of games and apps that run from the browser already. I still need to find a gallery script that easy enough to tailor for the PSP. This is my progress so far. Also I have two site themes written already, and I plan to wrtie a few more. I will run them by you guys in the form of a poll to see which one I should use when I am ready. I have most of the browser specs figured out but I am still testing what methods work best. For example, the PSP browser does not like transparency. I can't use png's or even fade colors. Stay tuned, more to come soon.
