Sticky Square Button

I just installed a new faceplate - but when I put my buttons back and screw the faceplate on, i find I have to press the circel and X buttons down twice as hard and the square buttons is impossible to push down. I read that it is something to do with the button resting on the screen?

Thanks

Early PSP models have their square buttons too close to the screen, so half of the button does in fact rest over the screen. If you look closely, the base of the button looks cut in half.

8-bit ninja is absolutely correct... but if you didn't have these problems before you changed the faceplate, then you shouldn't have them afterwards either. I'd take it apart and make sure you didn't accidentally swap the "rubber pads" that are behind the buttons. However, if everything looks like you put it back together in A+ condition, then you MAY have a very earlier model of PSP like 8-bit ninja suggests, which means that the system itself is flawed, and pressing the square button too hard may actually crack your screen.

most aftermarket faceplates give you some sort of problem...my suggestion would be to try and nick down the three tabs on the right side...they look like half circles, if you don't follow i can post a picture for reference.
