Brewology

Hi i have a fat psp and i juss used Despertar Cementario to make pandora's battery and im downgrading most of my friend's psp and my own psp soon. Do i need to backup my nand? and how do i back it up? ive read the tutorial but i didnt really understand it can some1 help me clarify.. thanks
