Newbie needs help! :O

Hi all!

I recently bought a PSP, so I'm still a big newbie on certain thing.
So I was wondering if someone here could help me out a bit.

I've just installed FW 3.71 M33-2 usinng a Pandora battery & M-M-Card.
When I did this it change my "enter" button. Instead of X, it's now O. Any way to change it back?

Second thing is about homebrew. I was looking trough the stuff on this site, and I saw alot of brew that "Only work on FW 1.5". Probably a stupid question, but here goes: It doesnt work on 3.71 M33-2? :p

I have downloaded some brew, and tried it on my PSP. Added them to x:\PSP\Games. I got 1 brew to work (PSPRadio). All other brew Starts (with the PSP logo etc), but then I get the message: "The game could not be started. (8002014C)". Why? :O

Also I see there's 2 more "Game" folders: "Game150" and "Game371". How do I know what folder to put the program in?

I think that's it for now :p

Thanks for any help :D

Which psp do you have? slim/phat? Have you downloaded the 1.50 kernel addon? And the GAME/150/371 folders are used to know which files you need to put in which folder. The GAME150 folder is used to put homebrew apps that require 1.50 to play. The GAME is the folder that is used according to your kernel settings. In the Recover Mode, you can go to configurations and change your kernel settings around and the GAME folder represents taht setting. And the GAME371 folder that you put the apps that require 3.71 to play.

Thanks guys, I actually didnt even know about the Recovery Mode :p

Anyway, I tried changing the kernel to 1.5, and then launched one of the brew again, but still got the same "cannot be started" message. I tried putting the game in both "Game" and "Game150" folder (not at the same time ;) ). But still the same error :(

Sorry, I saw now that it was not the same error. It was: 80020148. Quoted from Advent's PSP Site: "80020148 - Unsupported PRX type.".
Ofcourse I have a newbie question again: What is PRX? =/

Go to recovery mode and disable all the options under configuration -> advanced. restart your psp and try it again.

Theres an option to change it back in your recovery menu, i believe its in configuration if im not mistaken

I believe you need the 1.50 kernel add-on or e-loader.

Try throwing your homebrew in your game150 folder and then insert a game, or game demo into your umd tray.

In the past, playstation 1 games were read from the GAME folder, Homebrew was read in the GAME150 and/or GAMEXXX (x is the firmware number) and ISO/CSO files were read from the ISO folder.
Now i believe everything except the iso/cso files are able to be read straight from your GAME folder, but if you continue to have troubles then i suggest reverting back to the older ways as i listed above.

PRX is a plugin file.

Hi!

This is basically the only problem I have left.
I just cant get my PSP to run homebrew. Everytime I get this message.

In the M33 Recovery Menu there's a tab named "Plugins ->", but there's no plugins in there.
Where do I get these plugins, and how do I know what plugin I need?

Thanks for all the help guys :)
