Home Brew or Remote Play?

Greetings, I have a PSP with 1.5 FW, and I have been running devhook with FW 3.01. I don't ever really use HomeBrew and I am thinking of upgrading to the latest FW to take advantage of the PS3 features.

I truly am not good at hacking the PSP, and only got mine back to 1.5 by the seat of my pants and careful instructions.

Any advice on what I should do? Upgrade and forget Home Brew, or sell my PSP to somebody who will use Home Brew and buy a new slim?

Ok man i have a simple Question:
Why u want to play PS3 with The PSP Remote play whats the deal?
after you better hold your PSP and try some hacking on it -if you dont try then you will never learn-
if you hack your psp to Custom Firmware then you will Be able to Play Games for free and not Buying them..
So the point is <<Man go and try some hacking things i think PS3 Remote Play still works With Custom Firmware...
so get your Self on 3.52 M33 or 3.71 M33>> This is the best Solution for Me...

I don't even think too many games work on remote play at the moment either anyway so it would be a useless upgrade...But as already mentioned it still works on custom firmware so upgrade to 3.52 m33 or 3.71 m33

thanks for the help. this is sound advice. the only problem is, like i mentioned before, i was only able to set up my 1.5 FW by carefully following detailed instructions. i have read about custom firmware, but i really don't know what i'm doing. i'm way out of my league on this stuff, and i'm afraid i'm going to brick the thing. perhaps someone could link me to some good instructions that even a noob could follow? thanks again for the help!

Our tutorial section is golden  Anyways heres a link to a starters guide i wrote...

Just skip the downgrade portion since your already at 1.50 and head straight to custom firmware. Click on 3.52 m33 and your good to go. Once your updated to 3.52 m33-4 you can stay there or update to 3.71 m33.

Also if you want, heres a link to an easy installer for the 3.52 m33 firmware. It's pretty easy to follow.

Remote play is really no big deal. I mean its cool for the first 5mins to have you PS3 XMB on you psp, but the novelty quickly wears off.

Yea, there is 3.71 M33-3, it is basically just 3.73. There is an article about it on the homepage.

ok, i've got 3.71 m33, and according to this link http://www.stylemo.com/2007/11/14/how-t ... 371-m33-3/ i need to get to 3.71 m33-1 or 3.71 m33-2 first.

unfortunately, the link to download the update files for m33-2 is not working and the m33-1 instructions say to start with 3.52 m33-4.

can i can i still follow the 3.71 m33-1 instructions?

thanks again!

Well right now you are at 3.71 M33, so you need the 3.71 M33-2 update file.
