i just bought a psp slim yesterday, and i've noticed that the dpad is much more loose than on the original psp. I read online that this is a new tweak that makes the dpad more flexible. but for me, it is actually getting really annoying. especially when i'm playing lumines. the d-pad is so loose that when you press the down direction on the d pad, if ur thumb is leaning even a little bit to the right or left, the object goes to the right or left, even when i am not hitting the left or right direction on the d pad. is anyone else having this problem? or did i just get a defective d pad?

Have you tried taking the faceplate off and loosening or tightening the screws that hold the dpad in place?

hmm, i want to, but im afraid that it will void the warranty.
is there a tutorial for faceplate removal?

It will void the warranty. If you got it just yesterday then yeah it's probably best off to exchange for another one.
