Can I upgrade a 3.40 fat PSP to 3.50 and then use the 3.50 downgrader to go to 1.5, and then upgrade to custom ware?

Yes you can, as long as you have the unpatched version of Lumines I.

well hes been thinking about modding his PSP, so its no big deal, is it possible to borrow a copy from some one, my dads doesnt work

That depends, if you live in/near michigan you might (and I emphasize that) be able to use mine.

You can ask him if he can get a hold of an earlier version of Lumines.

cant dev gets only one copy, and if he got one through his contacts itd be the most recent one

I'm surprised he doesn't care if you downgrade... all the Sony Dev's I've met get all pissed at that kind of that thing.
