hello all, im new to the whole PSP brew thing, I have a little background in electrical Eng though so I did the pandora and mem stick thing from OFW 3.80 to 3.71 M33-2. Anyhoo ... now that I'm here ... im yet to see any advantages.. I tried to install kernal 1.5 v2 and it says Improper or existing 150.pbp already. but I cant seem to be able to run anything... I downloaded that little CS portable game and put it in PSP/GAME as well as PSP/150 and it just says corrupt file.. can someone give me a little boost on the procedures of getting into the whole brew thing, it seems really cool!.

Another question,... whats the difference between having 1.5FW ... and just this kernel 1.5 loader? .. im currently running Dark alex 3.80MM-5 with 1.5 and 3.8 kernels in my recovery thing? im looking around at this Daedalus program and it says only for 1.0 and 1.5 firmwares. So whats the difference? do I need the full old 1.5 firmware or am I good to go with the 1.5 kernel thing? because I tried to install it and it shows up but then it comes back to the UI and says can't load game.

If your psp has only 1.5 firmware on it, then you have to emulate newer firmwares. This is how it was before DAX started making custom firmwares.
Most homebrew is coded to work on 1.50... pretty much the standard of psp coding. If you put something in the game folder and it doesn't work, then usually sticking it in game 150 and changing your kernel to 1.50 should. When you change your kernel, you're pretty much saying "act like a 1.50 psp now".
