Hi, I just wanted an opinion on this. My analog stick is busted to the point where it won't move, and I still have 4 months left on my warranty. The problem is I have CFW 3.90 M33. So should I send it to sony (and if I do will they just give me a refurbished phat?), or fix it my self? I'm torn please help.

OK...
#1 No offense, but what do you know about homebrew?
#2 How would GAME STOP (assuming thats what your referring to) help me?
#3 Downgrading to a lower firmware then upgrading to OFW 3.90 would
create 1,000,000 more problems then... Aw heck, it doesn't solve anything.
Infact, thats the entire reason I didn't want to send it to sony in the first place.

Are you confident in your moding skills to where you think you can successfully fix your own analog stick?
If so, then just fix it yourself. You can find cheap replacement parts on the net, and it won't take nearly as long as sending it to sony.
If you aren't so confident, then send it to sony. Putting a CFW is incredibly easy now that we have pandora. If you don't already have a set up, then make one before you send it in. In fact, having your own personal pandora set up is one of the most useful things you can make/buy for yourself.

Yep, I've decided now. I'm buying a new analog stick. It would be faster and easier than sending it to sony
