When you load a Game, press a button on your PSP that takes you to the Main Menu (settings).

I don't use that EMU, I am still using the SNES EMU: uo_Snes9x for PSP 0.02y32 (maybe there is an update?)

Here what I do with my SNES Emu:

  1. Start the EMU on my Memory Stick
  2. Load a ROM (SNES game).
  3. press the analog stick to the left (takes me to the Main Menu (settings).
  4. press the down button until I reach PSP Clock and put it to 333MHz by pressing the O button.
  5. press the down button to the Sub-Menu and press the O button
  6. press the Down button to reach the Save as Default Settings and press the O button.
  7. Now I return to the Main Menu and press X button to return to the game. -- the good thing about this is that when I load that game again, it will remember my settings for that game. (I wish there was a way to make that setting the entire default for all games.)

Update:
I want to also share my Main Menu settings:

Frameskip: 04
Auto Frameskip: ON
Screen Size: Full
Show FPS: Off
Vsync: Off
Sound: On
Sound Rate: 11kHz
Transparency: ON
Graphic Speed: x1.3
Sound Speed: x1.0
PSP Clock: 333MHz

P.S. I was gonna ask if there is an update or better EMU to the one I am using for SNES, please let me know here in this thread. I personally like this version, since it can hold Genie Game codes and also supports State Saves.

Update

I just tried this SNES EMU: SNESPSP_TYL Standard Version v0.4.2 -- I don' think it works as well as the one I mention above. :(

You see, my favorite games are Top Gear series. On the settings (I give above) the EMU (I use) works great with those games and the speed is wonderful. But with SNESPSP_TYL Standard Version v0.4.2, even after adjusting the settings to come close or better than the one I have--the game was very sluggish and very choppy. :?

You can still get the EMU I use here: http://pspbrew.com/?page=fileInfo&cid=4400&d=369 (I promise that if you set the settings like mine above--you'll get good results) 8) P.S. it also supports zipped ROMs.

Well aside from setting the clock to 333MHz in the SNES EMU, if you have CFW M33 (depending of the version) Go to the M33 VSH Menu by either pressing Home or Select when you are in the XMB Menu view. Then adjust CPU Clock XMB to 333/166 and CPU Clock Game to 333/166. Other than that, I don't know if there is another ajustement you can make.

If you can't go to VSH Menu in the XMB view menu, you will need to reboot to Recovery Menu and do it there or also set it so you enable VSH Menu.

FYI, I keep both CPU Clock and Game at Default. It works great for me. What I would like to learn is what is the default set at? Just curious. Anyone?

Okay so you don't have VSH Menu enabled in the Recovery Menu--this is why when you press Select it doesn't do anything for you. Keep in mind that you can speed up the clock in either in the Recovery Menu or the VSH Menu (if enabled).

How to go to the Recovery Menu in M33
  1. turn off PSP.
  2. While pressing the R button, turn on PSP. -- if you did this correctly you should be in the Recovery Menu, if not, turn off and turn on the PSP again.

How to enable VSH Menu in the Recovery Menu and using the VSH Menu on the XMB Menu
  1. In the Recovery Menu, select Configuration (press X).
  2. Select Use VSHMENU and enable it (press X until it is enabled.
  3. Go Back to Main Menu and press Exit.
  4. When your PSP turns on, press Select and the VSH Menu should turn on.
  5. Select CPU Clock XMB and press the DPad's left or right until you reach to 333/166
  6. Repeat the previous step with CPU Clock Game
  7. Then select Exit.
  8. That's it.

Speeding up the clock in the Recovery Menu
  1. In the Main Menu of Recovery Menu, select CPU Speed (press X).
  2. Select Speed in XMB and press X until it reaches to 333.
  3. Repeat step 2 with Speed in UMD/ISO if you wish and set it to 333.
  4. Go Back to the Main Menu and press Exit.

No problem, glad to be helpful. I am a novice user of PSP hacks. I also don't understand quite a lot, but I read and read and read.. until finally I get somewhere.

I don't know if anything I have listed above is worth a tutorial, you see, mostly all that information is provided in the README or INSTALL texts when you download the hacks and install them. Do you ever read those? I know sometimes they have just too much information to take at a time, but if you are patient, you will eventually learn to decode all that PSP lingo and jargon.

P.S. I don't have a clue what are Cintro and Gameboots or else I would also help you out with that. Sorry.

You can ask for a gameboot/cintro in the Gameboot or Cintro request thread on the forums. Give a video you want one of.

Gameboot: the short 2.5 second clip when you click on a game in the GAME Tab in the XMB.

Cintro: the long maybe 1.5-2 minute clip that shows when you first turn on your psp.

If you have a video in mind just give the url and the time length in the Gameboot/Cintro request thread here. There is also another section of the forums where people (including me) have posted custom Gameboots/Cintros.

In order to use Gameboots you need a 'CXMB' mod compatible to your firmware.
this mod allows you to use CXMBs and Gameboots.

In order to use Cintros you need a Cintro mod compatible to your firmware.
