Ok, i've decided to upgrade from 3.71 m33 to 3.90 m33-3. I downloaded the UPDATE folder and then got the sony 3.90 OFW. I put it in the update folder with the EBOOT for m33-3 and put it in the PSP/GAME direcotry like the readme says. I went to run the updater and it unpacks fine and then tells me my battery must be at 78%. I am using the AC power cord cause i jig kicked my slim batt with a hard mod that cant be fixed. Do I really need to get a new battery to install this or did i do womthing wrong. I did change the 390 OFW ( the sony one) to read 390.PBP instead of EBOOT.PBP. (the m33 was in an eboot and i didnt want to replace) I got the 390 kernel from
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1406 Should I try to get the 390 kernel from the Sony site? Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure you didnt do anything wrong,
but i'm almost positive that this will work...
start your PSP with the AC cord. Then after its started up, put the battery in it. This is a method i use to sometimes charge my pandora battery. So that way you can put your battery in and if its not 78% then just wait a minute, the thing is just make sure you put the battery in after you start it with just the cord.
I hope that works, it works with my Phat psp.

Thats not a cheat....DAX has made it clear that he puts that in most of his CFWS.
