I have a psp-1001 model with firmware 3.95. I was wondering how to get a custom firmware onto my psp as easily as possible.

Next time post in the help section, the HELP section is for people who need help.

You will need a little thing called a pandora's battery and a magic memory stick. You can make both very easily, just check out in the tutorial section plenty of useful info there ;)

Well, unfortunately the only option for you is the Use of a Pandora battery and Magic memory stick combo. There are many tutorials on this site on how to make them, and it isn't too difficult, but it requires a little bit of time. Basically you need a battery, and another PSP capable of homebrew, and a memory stick greater than or equal to 128mb and less than or equal to 1gb. You will use the Homebrew enabled psp to create a special battery, and you will make a memory stick so that when both are placed in your PSP simultaneously, a special screen will Pop up and give you a few options. One will say "Install Custom Firmware ____" another will allow you to install the Official Firmware equivalent. Then you choose the Custom Firmware, it will install and bingo you have it.

heres a link to a good Pandora creation Tutorial. http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9208
