Actually follow one of our tutorials... just merely putting the files on the memory stick does nothing.

There should be some auto installers around for the mms if you search on google for it as well.

Try this URL:

I was able to make a reversible pandora battery and a reversible Magic Memory Stick and installed firmware on my slim psp on the first try. It is very detailed.

MMS Is nothing but software. It's always reversible. But, You don't necessarily need to "Reverse" it in order to use it as a regular MS.

If your PSP does NOTHING when you put the batt in, then your battery wasn't created correctly or doesn't work.
I know you said before the psp turns on with the battery, but now you said it does nothing. Make sure you give us the most info possible to help with your problem.

Is it a fairly new PSP? Did it happen to come with OFW 4.01? If so, then it's probably not your memory card or battery, as I've been told, OFW 4.01 PSP's have a different motherboard inside that doesn't allow the magic memory stick to work, and there is yet been a way around it.
It really sucks, until it's figured out only original PSP-2000's and older will be able to be modded.

Try holding the L trigger when you put in your battery and keep holding it until a screen shows up...Should only take a few seconds for the screen to pop up...
the guy above me is correct as well...if you just recently bought your psp and it came with firmware 4.01 on it...it would have one of the newer mother boards which only reads a signed mms.

Well, what is the OFW it has on it?
Not sure if it's a problem anymore, but I remember that a while back the newer OFW's needed to be downgraded before they could be modded.
