Broke in what manner? Physical damage, I can't help with, but if its a system software issue I can and will help.

software, i messed up the flash0 by using my backup from 3.91m33 instead of 4.01

so go back into your recovery and replace your flash0 files with the ones from 4.01...either that or use pandoras battery and magic memory stick to get everything back up and running.

His psp is most likely fully-bricked (cannot turn on), incorrectly restoring flash0 generally does more harm than a partial brick. As staxx said a pandora would do just nicely.

The last time that happened to a friend of mine, he corrupted his UNIQUE idStorage keys. He actually managed to transplant my idStorage keys onto his PSP, which had a different MoBo. UMDs never worked on the PSP again.
