i was searching you tube and the longest one i saw got to taking out the umd drive and im not sure how much more you have to do to take out the mother board.

Dude, are you sure you want to go through all of the work to do this?

So many screws...

I did the exact same mod to my phat and it was never the same since. I had a friend do it to his slim and now his shoulder button is stuck.

OH and yea. I had screws left over afterwards too.

I wasn't impressed with the quality of the plastic either.

ok then, maybe i wont do it then.

lolol dont listen to them. as long as you have common sense its an easy thing to do.

things i suggest...

1. create sticky notes and label them for each portion that your taking screws from (mother board, faceplate, dpad, etc.) place the screws in a small baggy and lay it on the note.
2. do not!! use an exacto knife to unlock any hinges/tabs. use a #000 flat head precision screw driver.
3. take note of how things were pulled apart.

anyways, acidmods has a disassembly guide you can follow for slims.

i give it a difficulty rating of 3/5 for a first timer. 1/5 for a 2nd time and up.

well i guess the whole thing will be decided on the condition of the psp i just bought on ebay when it arives. if the housing isnt too bad, ill probably only get a new faceplate and umd door.
