5.50 GEN to 6.38 ME V3

if i go to 6.38 ME V3, could i go back to 5.50 GEN if i don't like it?

Also would i be able to access the PSN store(when it comes back online) with 6.38ME V3 and use the stuff i get from it?

If you have 6.38 ME V3, I think you can access the PSN.... And yes, you should be able to downgrade any PSP to 5.50 GEN except the 3000 and Go.

okay thanks , i have the silver slim Daxter bundle one. i suppose i would need a pandora battery if i want to go back to 5.50 GEN

I'm very sure you can use software to downgrade, but having a Pandora handy isn't a bad idea if you can get a hold of one easy.

what software could i use? i don't think i have heard of one. sorry for all the questions, i have been out of the psp scene for awhile.

I'm sure you can hex edit a 5.00 EBOOT.PBP file to be like 7.00 instead of 5.00 and then self-sign it...
Haha, actually, don't try that. It seems very improbable.
EDIT: I actually cannot find a tutorial for downgrading a 2000 model using software only. Maybe someone else will chime in.. :O
