Ok well, i have just started to get into all this cool homebrew stuff and custom firmwares so im a total newb at this stuff. My PSP is at 2.81 though and i dont think thats good is it, i also am pretty sure i do not have one of those TA-082 or wutever motherboards, thats a good thing though i think?

I wanna play PS1 games on my psp but to do anything it seems i need a custom firmware like 3.03 Oe - c (i heard its good) right, and im not sure how to turn it into the custom firmwares cuz do do that i have been reading that it needs to first be 1.5 then it can upgrade to 3.03 oe - c. So is there anyway i can downgrade to 1.5 from 2.81?

Another question is that do i need the Hot Shots Golf 2 files anymore or do the latest versions of popstation do all that for me.

(Hmm, ive been reading some more and it seems that i have to upgrade to 3.03 normally, then downgrade it from there.. but it seems like i need GTA:LCS, is there any other way cuz i dont have that game?)

you can pay someone from your area to do it for you but i'm sure you could find an unpatched copy of GTA:LCS for about the same price.

Your going to need to download a 3.03 update and yes (unfortunately) your going to need an unpatched version of GTA:LCS

you can just go rent it from hollywood video or blockbuster, because all the ones at the blockbuster near me are the unpatched versions.

Ohh, ok well thanx.., One of my friends has Gta:LCS though so i gotta check and hopefully it will be an unpatched version of it.

The reason for getting GTA is cuz it has the 2.00 patch on it though rite.. is that why i need it to downgrade?
And if it is then why does it have to be GTA cuz i have Socom:Fireteam Bravo and it also has the 2.00 update on it, just wondering if that would work (And if it would work then everyone that wants to downgrade would have a 2nd option aside from GTA =])

3.11 firmware hasnt been cracked yet, so no homebrew as of yet.

By the way puncharger did you get the bootsounds i made for you? They work nice right

firmware 3.11 has been cracked (supposedly). Dark_Alex has said that it has been decrypted and is ready for devhook/ custom firmware but that he wasn't releasing anything b/c it is a waste of an update (b/c nothing changes from 3.10 - 3.11 really).
