Well as you may of guessed im new, i been checking this site out a while and i was wondering what does all this stuff do to my PSP? I think emulators allow you to play games for other consoles on your psp, but what i've understood is that you cant get these unless you have v3.03 or bellow because you need to downgrade to v1 or v1.5, at the momment im running on v3.4 and i was kinda sad, so will there ever be a downgrader for v3.4?

dude u can only play homebrew and emu if u got a 1.5 or a custem Firmware

y did u update 2 3.4 of did ur psp came that way

and u have 2 what 4 a long time 4 a downgreader 4 3.4
i had 2 what 4 a year b4 i downgread my 2.6

Well emulators emulate a console so you put roms in side of the emulators and you can play the games etc. But to do this you need firmware 1.5 or 3.03 OE-C so if you do not have either one of theses firmwares you are pretty much screwed until a firmware downgrader comes. If you need any other help just ask me or a few of the other members/staff.

What he means is that you can only play Homebrew (meaning Homebrew games and Emulators) with a version 1.5 Firmware PSP, or a Custom Firmware that has 1.5 Capabilities.

With your PSP being 3.40, you will have to take a number and wait with all the others who are waiting for a downgrader.

Wow you guys respond fast. Possibly one of the most active forums ive been on.

Homebrew are games that people have made them selfs most times or games from the internet (example helicopter) and made it work with the psp.

Homebrew, is the running of free code. Code that ametuer coders make in their spare time.

Homebrew can be anything from Running emulators (Digital versions of other gaming systems), to playing completely custom made games, such as a free code version of PacMan.

Homebrew is a hackers way of saying that a console is it's b**ch

But you need a firmware 1.5 to play or get a modchip or wait for a downgrader.

NEVER GIVE INTO SONY DON'T UPDATE EVER.
