What are the symptoms of a dead or stuck pixel?

Well I remember way back when, someone made a pixel unsticker thing. The other day i noticed I have a couple pixel on my psp that persistently stay white. They don't really bother me all that much unless its on a black screen and ther are like 3 white dots. When the pixel is white, does that mean it is dead or it is stuck? And would anyone happen to have a luink to a pixel desticker program? Thanks.

Ok. Heres an easy fix. First take your psp wrap it in aluminum foil. Next turn your microwaves powers to 5, and put your psp inside. Now just set the time for 7 seconds exactly. Repeat if pixels are still stuck.

White/ green/ red/ blue - those are colors that pixels will turn to if they are dead/ stuck. I have 1 white one, which is really the only noticeable one, but I also have 1 red, 1 blue, and 2 green dead pixels. Many people hear that and think the screen looks bad, but then I show them the screen and they can't find a single one - but sometimes they find the white one because it stands out somewhat.

I've tried a few different programs and the "push" method, but none fixed them, and really, it's no problem.

Would you mind educating me on these programs and the "push" method? I mean, it cant hurt anything right? If anything I don't care about the white pixels in the corner but there is just one dead one in the middle. I hoping the one in the middle is stuck since I just recently noticed it after owning my psp for like 2 weeks.

I really can't remember the various different "dead pixel remover" programs there are... but there are various ones now. Anyways, the "push" method is dangerous and can actually CAUSE dead pixels, so I won't even talk more about it because I don't recommend it. I only did it before because I'm a jen'yas.

That seems to be your fix for everything.

The "push" method is:

1. turn psp off
2. press/ push firmly where the dead pixel was
3. turn back on the psp
4. release finger

Doing so will theoretically not allow the pixel to "fill" until after you release your finger; however, it is very dangerous to do because as you can imagine, it can also cause dead pixels.
