well what i did was...I downlaoded an eboot.pbp and made a recovery folder manually and put that in there. I did that because the easy winstaller only gives me options of F G H and I to create my recovery folder and I have K. The winstaller then says it cant create my recovery folder. So then I just did it myslef. I turned off the psp and ran teh recovery mode. I ran the blah blah blah (3rd from the top) and then evrything went black, it was black for like 2-3 minutes so I got worried and I tried shutting off the psp. I don't think that it was working. And after that it became semi bricked. Oh and actually when i turned on teh recovery folder and it was going for 2-3 minutes it wouldn't let me turn off the psp. It was just really weird. Is it suppose to take long?

The point of the winstaller is, that a eboot isn't the only file needed you need a actual downgrader/recovery folder to use it. You can't put a random file in there, so yea. Theres your problem you put a completely wrong file in there. Just delete the folder and you'll have to find a manual way to put the recovery folder in there. Find somewhere to download the correct recovery files, then downgrade to 1.5 and upgrade to a cf

You could always disconnect or use daemon tools, or some component in windows to change the drive letter of your psp to one that pops up in the winstaller.

wel....i didi it....I BRICKED MY PSP!!!!!!
AHHHH JK I fixed it
what i was suppose to was put the winstaller in the K drive and then run it, after that i had teh option to put it in the k drive. anyways I recovered it back to 1.5 and then brough it back to 3.40 OE-A
The only bad thing I found out is that the firmware is not the problem as to why my wifi is not working.
I guess I have to get a new wifi card and put apart the psp after all. But I dont feel bad because I did all I could to try to fix it.
Thnx for all your help, you guys have been supporting on the way, especially you ace_012.

No problemo. You know you could've always upgraded to 3.03OE-A and tested wifi. As for fixing it, I say jsut wait a while. If it never works for a while, then I can't help you there man. Never replaced any wifi parts (antenna or anything)

i know what the problem was.. if you were at 3.03 OE-C you wouldnt have to do all that you coulda just reflashed your opening_plugin.rco to vsh/resource..
the reason it wouldnt turn on normally is because your opening_plugin.rco got corrupted somehow (or deleted)
when you go form recovery to the psp it doesnt use the opening plugin because it doesnt play the little movie..
so it doesnt really matter as long as you fixed it already
