Hey everyone. Im just getting started into this new homebrew thing and was wondering how to get the emulators to run. ive downgraded to 1.50 and then upgraded to the 3.03 OE-C custom firmware version so i think im set to run them but i dont know exactly where to put the folders or the files onto my memory stick. I dont know if you need to change the ROM files which are .smc to anything else before i put them onto the memory stick either. Whenever i boot up my psp i always get the corrupted data icon under the games file. so yeah thanks for the help everyone!

You have to use winrar to extract the .rar files. Then you copy the folder that has the eboot in it to the GAME(or GAME150 if there is one) folder on your memory stick. Then copy the roms to the folder that the emulator is in.

O and please don't double post.

you need to have a game or game demo umd disc in your umd tray for it to work.

ok have you tried going into recovery mode and setting the kernel to 1.5?
if haven't, reboot the psp and before its turned hold the R button, then go under "Configuration"
then select "Game folder hombrew" to be sure its on 1.50 only.

Yea most of the time when you see a error like 8002014C and you aren't running an iso then you need to change the kernal to the opposite of what it is currently. In your case, you should change it to 1.5 . But if you try and run an official demo then you need to change the kernal back to 3.03 or whatever cf you have.
