Upgrade to a custom firmware.
And no need to make 2 threads.

Get Files:
Easy installer for Dark_AleX's 3.03 OE-C : http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1043

1. Set your PSP to usb mode and download the file listed above and run it and follow instructions ( that is to press install ) to install the files.

2. After installing the files from the easy installer go to your psp's game/memory stick and select the Upgrader from there and then run it and follow instructions ( that is to press next next next Wink )

Note:

1. Always have your PSP charged up to at least 75% and always have your power plugged in.

2. Also chances that your PSP will brick is very small plus note that this has been tested and found to work successfully.

3. Always remove UMD's when upgrading or downgrading

Well I just like 3.03oec because it offers better net browsing, better video res and more game
compatibility, it plus its makes it easier to run homebrew and most emulators today.

The only thing 3.03OE-C has on 3.40OE-A is easier to flash the xmb. 3.40OE-A has better game support plus better psx emulation. And they both run homebrew and most emulators.... What emulator does 3.03 run that 3.40 doesn't? Plus you cna use 3.40 to connect to your ps3. And how does the firmware matter about better video res?

3.40OE-A has better game support, it plays more iso's and psx games.
Why would a lower firmware have better game support anyways?

I didn't say it can play "more" games than other firmwares, I just said it was good to
have for homebrew and emulators from the past decades. I just don't think theres any
any games higher than that, probably soon in the future. Plus I just like because its a little
easy for customizing and much stable.

Trust me I'm not comparing this to any firmwares. Maybe 1.5 for the least.

You said better game support. I don't understand where you get homebrew from that. Im pretty sure anyone who read that would think of psp games first. Ok fine 3.40OE-A has better game "support" then 3.03OE-C. 3.40OE-A has better psx emulation "support". Atleast thats what I have been told by many people. I just think it would be a good idea to tell a noob about both firmwares, which is what I do atleast. And tell them the real pros about both.
But ofcourse the older members use 3.03 and newer members use 3.40 becuase its better!! lol I wonder if anyone will read this
Im so gona make a poll about who thinks which ones are better.
