Brewology

I am currently using FW 3.03 OE-C and I am considering upgrading to 3.40 OE-A. I use my psp to play PSX/UMD games and the occasional SNES game (I find SNES9X .42 slow on my favorite old games FF3/Chrono Trigger/Etc. but i digress) I am wondering if I am going to gain anything mind blowingly wonderful by upgrading firmwares? I am assuming greater PSX/UMD compatibility and thats about it. I dont care about customization or accessing the flash0 or flash1 spaces of my psp (if it aint broke, keep your nose out) I just dont want a big headache with games/gamesaves being incompatible, so if anyone else made the jump and is happy with their choice. Thanx

i wouldnt i just went back to oe-c cuz sum of my fav apps wouldnt work on 3.40 oe-a, id say DONT upgrade

Which Apps specifically? Other than SNES9X I dont play any homebrew on my PSP

well all my emulators work fine on 3.03 oe-c(including SNES9X), but the things that didnt work for me on 3.40 oe-a were, some plugins, 3.XX customizer (dah), GTAcheat, psp capture (most of the time), some homebrew but thats only because it changed to 3.40 Kernal & they were just in the wrong folder.

and i like that 3.03 oe-c is just really easy to customize

Since you don't care about customization and would want better psx emulation or game support or w/e you could. Nothing mind blowing but I like 3.40OE-A. All the homebrew I have actually cared about using, worked. Plus I have had no problems with flashing the xmb. But then again I don't really use any of those cheating programs, or flashing programs since any program that messing with flash, I don't really like using at all . And I don't play GTA either. So yea. If you really care alot about psx emulation then you can, wouldn't hurt anything.

yea if u dont care about customization then u should go with 3.40 oe-a
