u can dl the right sized background and just rename it to 01-12, and replace the existing file in flash0

In order to make wave's just copy this file:
system_plugin_bg.rco
and use rco editor to open it. Then customize it using a program like photoshop, then close it. Then paste that back into flash0.
And the wave and background picture is in the resource folder. Resource folder is in the vsh folder.
I know that was short but, in other words look for one you like in a theme and just copy the bmp image and the system_plugin_bg.rco file to your flash0.

He can access the flash0 directly using 3.03OE-C and 3.30OE-A/3.40OE-A. Just not 3.10OE-A'.

Which firmware are you on, since it hasnt been stated in any posts. Just to clarify things you need to be on custom firmware to be able to make those modifications.

Anyways you wont need to clear up any extra flash0 space if your just modifying the background and waves, but if your going to modify anything else i would suggest using this tutorial to clear up some flash0 space... http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6797

Here is a tutorial darkpacman made about xmb modification (for your backgrounds and waves)... http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 0489#70489

But if you dont feel comfortable doing that stuff manually you can use this program and it will do all the work for you... http://www.pspbrew.com/?page=fileInfo&cid=&d=5196 01-12.bmp is the background system_plugin_bg.rco is the waves

O yea, just a hint, even I know what I am doing and I don't use any program that messes with flash0. I would highly suggest you don't use any programs that do it for you because many people have semi-bricked as a result of it. The easiest way (at least safest way, if you don't go deleting stuff like a nub would) is doing it manually using dpm's tutorial.
