After getting bummed from updating my psp to 3.51 i realized my brother bought one the same day and didnt go on the internet, we switched since he has no need to downgrade. The firmware is:

3.40

ok I know I have to do 2 things"

1. downgrade to 1.50

2. add the 3.51 custom firmware.

I need to know what to do so I dont mess anything up and I appreciate any help.

whenever you downgrade or update make sure you battery is 75% or more (100% highly reccomended) make sure your charger is plugged in

I dont suggest getting 3.51(M33) CFW it has too many bugs update to 3.40 OE-A if you ask me especialy if you're a begginer

Read the tutorial for downgrading. You'll find it in the tutorials section. You're gonna need lumines if you don't already have it. Follow the advice written above, and good luck to you.

Go to the tutorials section, look for a 3.50 downgrading tutorial. Upgrade your firmware to the official 3.50 firmware. The tutorial should explain how to do it. Whatever you do, DON'T upgrade to the newest firmware. You need to upgrade to 3.50. And like brent said, get a copy of Lumines. Follow the tutorial. Then you can upgrade to any custom firmware. Popular ones include 3.03OE-C, 3.40OE-A, and M33 firmwares. However I would suggest 3.40OE-A out of all 3.
3.03OE-C Winstaller- http://rapidshare.com/files/24380814/3. ... taller.exe
3.40OE-A Winstaller- http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/500493
Ask if you need any other info. O and before you ask, there all basically the same. You can run ISO's, play UMDs and homebrew and what not on all the custom firmwares mentioned.
