Im at 1.50 have been since I first got my PSP I have been using Devhook to load my ISO's and have been using various EMU's. BUt now I need to change to a OE firmware to play the latest games. But I dont have a clue what it is what they allow me to do/to play. There are so many OE firmwares outthere which 1 is the latest.

Please help.

Hi Bluecap.

There is 3.40oea which is the latest OE firmware, which has more stability with psx games, more easier to customize the psp, more homebrew than ever.

you can use the winstaller here.

3.52 M33 on the other hand keeps you updated with the latest. PSN downloaded PSX games now work and you
probably get to play more umd games that require you to update above 3.40oea.

heres the download link for this custom firmware.

yeah, I would suggest 3.03 OE-C if you have GTA and you want to use a cheat device though!

Yes, the cheat device is really friendly towards 3.03 oe-c. The OE firmwares are highly recommended as they will allow you to unlock many benefits of the PSP that Sony doesn't really want you to have access to. I'm sure you're already aware of homebrew, but for more information, you should visit our tutorial section for plenty of "specifics" on how to fine-tune that PSP of yours ;)

Although, don't go out and make a "FAKE" stunt video, I don't use any cheats for my stunts, and niether should anybody else! there just for fun and for the video recorder.

Which by the way, you have a great stunt video in your sig. I think it would be interesting to see what you could do if you used one of the construction packs that allow you to build your own ramps and whatnot. You don't have to use cheats with that as well either. Just thought I'd throw that out there ;)

haha! did it last night! And thanks for clearing that up... lol! it's just not jenuine though... us GTA stunters use what Rockstar gave us (and Maby I'll try that just for fun)

Figured Id throw this in there since I didn't see anyone mention it...
Custom firmware's are basically identical to the official firmware but it allows you to play any homebrew (unless otherwise specified) and they have recovery menus useful for things such as fixing a semi-brick or flashing files to flash0 to change the theme of the xmb.
