How do I play backup UMD ISOs?

Hi, I was wondering how I can play my backup ISOs straight from my memory stick. Is that a built in feature in the new iRshell? If so, in what directory do I put my ISOs on my memory stick?

EDIT: So I installed iRshell, right? My problem now is whenever I run the ISOs (I figured out they go in the "ISO" folder [freaking duhr]) they won't load. "The game could not be started (80020321)." When I run them in iRshell, it just says "No disk inserted." Sooo.... what am I doing wrong?

EDITEDIT: I released that I need to put a UMD into the drive first. Problem solved.

you can always go into Recovery mode by holding R during the reboot, then going under Configuration and
set the NO-UMD feature to disabled.

why don't you just use 3.40 OE-A custom firmware? It's Done Me Lots Of Good in the past...

As always, I suggest using a compression tool to make your isos into the smallest filesize you can. That will save you space for more content on your memory stick(s) ;)

I haven't made a backup in quite a long time, but after searching a little bit I've found this tool http://psp.console-tribe.com/downloads. ... le&id=1609.

It's a multipurpose tool that will allow you to compress into .cso and .dax, but .dax, although smaller in many cases, isn't supported in custom firmware to my knowledge. I haven't read up on the very newest though, I'll admit to that.

dax is smallest but I am not sure if it is supported by M33. I use UMDGEN v4 though to compress everything and get rid of music files. Got Astonishia story to like 60mb using it ;).

can someone lead to a place that tells how to make your umd games into iso/cso files? i wouldn't mind doing that, and then just selling my umd's for some extra money. i have a slim psp with 3.71 m33 on it. thanks a bunch. also, does anyone know how to use the built in psx emulator in 3.71?

you can use USB_SSS to rip your UMDs and make them into "PURELY" backup files for your UMDs. it is pretty easy to use. But i don't know much about 3.71 M33 so i dont know your PSX problem, mayby you need to mess around with something in recovery or put the game in a different folder. you using an ISO of the games?
