Sony announces PSP Slim&Lite 1seg TV tuner
PSP Slim, PSP Lite, PSP Light, PSP 2, E3, E3 2007, PSP-2000, PSP Slim&Lite 1seg TV tunerSony recently announced the 1 seg TV Tuner exclusively for, of course, the PSP Slim & Lite. This wonderful PSP gadget will enable you to watch TV anywhere, any time. With it’s nifty antenna and it’s bulky white body, it will possibly be the most useful gadget out for the PSP. This Tuner of joy will be available in all regions of Japan. I’m not sure abut other countries, but the 1 Seg TV Tuner will not be available for North America do to the high “over-the-air” costs. Yet, for you lucky few in Japan, the price will be at a reasonable 6,980 Yen or $57. All I can say about the air costs is…LAME.
I would just like to know if it would work on the Normal PSP?

It might be worth the investment to test some of the capabillites of the antenna. even if it doesn't work on the fat one.

Too bulky if you ask me... they should have just built the TV tuner into the PSP... I think it looks stupid having that sitting on top. Besides, for Japan it is kind of a waste. A lot of cell phones in Japan have built in TV tuners, and nobody really uses them.

Kinda sad. I'd like to see more support head to the US crowd. After all, the US has the largest market of PSP players. I think Sony should take its sights off of Japan - that's clearly a "Nintendo-Dominated" region.
