Hi, I need an SNES emulator for my PSP, but I need one that will work with my firmware version 3.51.
I have seen many others that work with previous versions but can someone tell me where to find one for version 3.51?

Thanks!!

Thanks for the reply tbag.
Do you mean a "Downgrade"?
Yes, please let me know how to proceed. However would the process affect any other PSP functionality? I just want to make sure its safe.

sure

ok to downgrade are gonna wanna use the pandoa's battery hack. dark packman put one up on the tutorials section i would refer to that. once downgraded you can install a custom firmware and run all the homebrew you want

Ok thanks!
But isnt there any other way? Apparently this Pandoras Battery hack implies using two batteries and formatting my memory card, which I have save games on (I guess I can backup the memory card first, is this possible? I dont want to lose my saved games)

yes u can backup your memory card just make a folder on your desktop and select all in the root folder of your psp and drag it all to that folder or you can copy and paste same thing really and u do not need 2 batterys for pandora people have a wininstaller that lets you window install most of the files for pandora

Nice!!

You said there is a Wininstaller, where can I find that?

Also, after I perform the Pandora Battery hack can I install this: PSP custom firmware: CFW v3.51 M33???????

Will that custom firmware work with the SNES emulator? (the emulator said it would work with version 1.0)

Don't double post.

yes, once you use pandora's battery you can install a custom firmware (any of them except 3.60M33, that one is just for slim psp's). There's tutorials to install it. If your going to install a M33 firmware though, I just installing 3.52M33-1, then install M33-2, M33-3, and finally M33-4. And yes you can use a snes emulator on it, but I suggest getting the latest one from our downloads section.

Actually you are wrong :P

1st error...it was Ace, not Staxx
2nd error...you do in fact have to install each update otherwise you'll end up with a brick :D

Problem is that I don't have an already capable Homebrew PSP to be able to perform the tutorial. How can I first make my PSP Homebrew capable?? (Because the tutorial says that I need and homebrew PSP)

Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no other way to perform the Pandora's Battery hack unless you have a second PSP that is capable of homebrew. A PSP is capable of homebrew when it is version 1.00 - 1.50 - or any custom firmware. There are other exceptions, but that is pretty much it. If you don't have access to a second PSP, there's no way to do the hack.

lol staxx actually bkfraiders7 is right on one note you can update directly to 3.52M33-4 after you have installed 3.52M33 as i have dun so myself twice. It will not cause a brick :D

Actually he is still wrong, because you said you installed 3.52-M33 first before you installed 3.52M4 ;) Actually i have no idea where I got that idea from, but for some reason I thought it I guess. Better to be safe then sorry I guess.
