Hi peeps, I am new to PSP so need some help here. I just downloaded some games but I was unable to get it to work in my PSP. I will upload the screenshots on the file (disk image file). Basically I dragged it into my ISO folder but then it do not seem to recognise.

Another Q is that when I download a game file, it has got many files inside namely RAR, xxx.r00, xxx.r01. Am I on the right track and if I am, do I drag all the files into the ISO folder inside PSP? Thks.

When you extract the files, it should create an iso or cso for you. you then place your iso or cso in your iso folder on your psp.

1. what firmware do you have if you have 3.52 M33 go to the recovery menu ( turn off psp completely and hold R while turning on) then go to configuration and turn umd mount to no M33 driver no umd.

2. extract one of the folders and you will have it in one.

my firmware is 3.71.

I guess you are referring to the disk image file? for 3.71, do I do the same? hold on to "R"?

Downloaded games wont work on 3.71 official sony firmware, you'll need either 1.50 or custom firmware.

The only possible way for you to get to custom firmware at the moment is by using the pandoras battery downgrader. You can find a guid in our tutorial section.

firmware aside so disk image file is also a workable file for the game to be played?

Yes you can play games using a disk image of the game (we call them iso's). To extract the one that has a lot of parts all you need to do is extract whichever one comes first (it will end in .000 or end in .001), and it will extract all of them at once.

As previously stated...you need to be on firmware 1.50 or custom firmware. It won't work on your current 3.71 firmware because it does not support home brewed files. You'll have to use pandoras battery to downgrade to 1.50 before you may play image files on your psp.
