I'm guessin hes at 3.40... Check out staxx's guide-

You can use the game lumines to downgrade a 3.50, so all you would need to do is buy lumines. On the other hand you could use a pandora's battery, which needs another homebrew enabled psp. So yea. For your situation I suggest the lumines downgrader.
You can run any emulators once you upgrade it from 1.50 (once you downgrade you go to 1.50) to a custom firmware. It varies, most popular are gameboy advance emualtors (gbsp 0.9), snes emulators, and the newer firmwares have a built in psx emulator.

Well don't get me wrong your guide is good too, it's just I suggest staxx's guide to all the newbs because it's more neat I guess you could say. It basically serves as a starting guide to everyone. I can't really explain it other then the fact it has mroe information and more newb friendly because it pretty much starts off with all the basic questions you can ask starting out in a very neat and nice manner. It's just a great tutorial I wish would've been around for newbs when I first joined. It's like the tutorials you always look for wishing there was just a tutorial somewhere that answers anything you need to know.
Either one will work. Your guide is great too.

Ah I know(atleast an addon to what I was trying to say) what I was trying to say now, your guide caters to like one downgrading method for 1.51-3.50. You pretty much just give 2 options to downgrade. While staxx's guide gives you tons of ways to downgrade, and is more thorow(sp?), and basically gives you all the info you need to downgrade between tons of different firmwares.

If Malias were here he would say:

"It's not up to you to decide whether or not he has fixed his problem, your job is to either help the guy out and wait for him to answer or not be a part of it."
