Whenever I try to load an emulator, my psp starts loading, goes to a black screen for a while and then gives me the error "The game could not be started.(80020148)" Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you on Slim or Fat?

Have you tried puting a UMD disc into your tray and then running your homebrew?
If that's not the case then you might just need the 1.50 kernel plugin if your on fat

or

If your on slim you might need e-loader.

I'm using the fat and I just installed the 1.5 kernel and now when I try to load up an emu my psp goes to a black screen for a bit then just shuts off, I can still play regular umds fine

Mess with some of the stuff in the recovery menu and you might trigger something to fix it.

If the Phat PSP's are like the Slim, then when u start up the psp hold down the ---> R <--- Trigger.

Recovery mode will come up, go to configuration, go down to UMD mode press ---> X <--- until it says: Sony NP9660 -No UMD-> Then hit back and exit, psp should start up. then you game should load.

Yea, thats how my psp's recovery is, its a phat on 3.52 M33-4. I think that you don't even have to go to recovery mode to change that, I think you can just go to the XMB and press the 'home' button and the VSH menu will pop up. You should be able to change it there.

I thought he was talking about emulators such as the SNES and NES though, or is that what you guys were referring to as well?

Well he can't get his emulators to work and it gives an error number, so the solution is probably changing with some stuff in the recovery mode. Did you ever fix it, Broto? But..
I forgot to ask if he add the 1.50 kernel addon for 3.71 M33! Do you have the 1.50 kernel addon for 3.71 m33, Broto?

Ah I didn't read.. well did you put the emulator in the 'GAME150' folder, Broto?

Or set your 'GAME' folder kernel to 1.50 then put the emulator in the 'GAME' folder?

i forgot to add also, i had a very similar problem when trying to run Emulators on a Sony memory stick, and they worked fine on a Sandisk.
For some reason it occurred constantly when i tried to put the Emulator on my memory stick that had some PSX games on it. DPM77 said it was probably because of the low transfer rate of the Sony Memory stick, and sure enough it worked on my SD Memory stick.
I doubt that this is your problem in this case, but i had no clue, so Who knows.

and ya you might not have the Homebrew Kernel set to 1.5 on the recovery menu like he said.

This is how I do it. FW: 371m33-4, 1.50 addon installed, kernal at 371, UMD required (is there an advantage to no umd?). Put all 150 brew in Game150, run. If it fails, check and see if it runs when placed in GAME.
