iso loading/freezing issues

so far every game i've tried on my psp currently has had weird loading issues or just freeze here's so far:

megaman x4 = after beating boss, game gets stuck and does not continue to the victory music and anything after it, game just waits for nothing

yugioh forbidden memories - intro movie freezes when i hit start or if i just let it run it freezes

strider 2 - freezes 3 steps into level 3 and psp shuts down after about 5 seconds

any idea why this is happening my psp is a fat psp with older motherboard, 3.52 M33 custom firmware, 4GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo.

i'm currently testing some games i converted a while back that had no issues to see if i can find the problem

EDIT: Tried megaman x5 on it, worked perfectly no problem, so I know it's not the memory card

before i was using a 1GB Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo for my ps1 isos and i had no problems on it but i doubt this is a memory card issue

to 3.80 M33-X and 3.90 you can but I think with pandora.try using tbags e-z installer and if none of the methods work guess you gotta try the long way...It might be something in your recovery mode or could be because it wouldn't run the homebrew halfway.Need 1.50 kernal addon.Probably might work if you use 3.40 oe-a,runs all homebrews.

1.50 kernal add-on? i thought 3.52 M33 came with the 1.50 kernal

and what do u mean by pandora, the battery thing? do i need a certain battery for it? (i haven't tried it yet)

heyy instead of tht get the pandoraas batteryy go to
www.pspfullgames.com
and download a game. the games come in torrents so download this
www.bittorrent.com
this makes the torrent into an cso/iso file easily but it takes about 12 hours tops
hope this will work for youu and write back tell me wat happened

No it doesn't.But what you can do is just update your psp to 3.52 M33-4 and use Tbags "E-Z Installer".It will bring you to CFW 3.90 M33. CFW required only to use it.You can just upgrade to 3.71 M33-X btw. Just download kernel. some CFW requires them.

OK, sorry for the long post.

Erm.. Hi everyone, I haven't been on the scene for a long while, (as in my psp was 3.30 oe-a until last night) and I upgraded to 3.90 M33 (granted, I did have to upgrade to 3.52 M33 then 3.52 M33-4)

The point is, I got to keep my saves (though i now have vampire icons, bloody hell) but the PSX games don't work, I downloaded the latest popstation I could find (RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00 to be exact) and re-wrote my PSX EBOOTS, but the same problem has ocurred. In fact, loading my old games at least loads something, as opposed to starting a NEW GAME which just freezes my PSP on a black screen.

I will make a note of the fact that Final Fantasy VII never worked that well to begin with, but i managed to get to Cosmo Canyon (with great difficulty) the screen would jump, and become buggy whenever "status" effects were afflicted (sometimes freezing) whereas when i load the game since my upgrade it starts off buggy and won't even load the "end of battle" screen. So it has gotten worse.. On another note, my other EBOOTs don't load up at all.. :S

UPDATE:
Made a mistake, I had been trying my old EBOOTS except for Final Fantasy VII, that I had been trying right and is worse, but some other games that had dodgy audio playback are now running smoothly.

And to Zeromaster, I reckon if you do what I did you're games may well work. 3.90 M33 has kernal access and everything, and Dark Alex has always made quality homebrew. It may even be the way you upgraded or even that you don't have the 4th patch, it's easy to find (I think I used QJ or even this site) and see if that helps. ~peace out~

PS- Any help on FFVII would be great, FFIX worked fine a year ago (i completed it on psp and everything) but FFVII and FFVIII have always had problems with battles.

All my PSX games work fine of 3.52 M33-4. FFVII might lag a little bit going into battle, but it is about perfect.

so you've never had fights crash? 'cos it only really used to happen when certain attacks were used, otherwise everything else worked fine, now however with 3.90 M33 as soon as you go into a fight the coding gets all screwed up and becomes very unstable...

Also, FFVIII doesn't seem to have changed at all, battles freeze if they run too long, and in Koudelka the voice-acting runs smoother but movie sequences won't load, the game just freezes :S has anyone encountered these problems or even been able to overcome them?

Nope, FFVII has always run pretty smoothly for me. I have heard of others having problems with FFVII on the higher firmwares though.
