idk how lengthy of a description this requires, but i've always wanted to know exactly how an emulator works
and i know obviously what they do and how to operate them, but how are they made and what exactly is going on when they're running?

Well I'm not sure. basically you make an operating system that can run ROMS of a console. You just have to make the emulator in an exectuable form for the thing you are using to run it. probably this is useless information to you.

I was just saying it was useless cuz I figured you already knew it. I don't know anything else about emulators. You can google it to find out more.

Oh lol, yea I'm clueless. You thinking about learning more about them and possibly making one?
I think it would be awesome to make one, like a NES one for PC. It doesn't have to run full speed or anything, and it doesn't take much to run a NES game. I might try that sometime.

Emulators create a fake enviorment of which a rom can run.
Its like having a fish in artificial water(to an extent)
Its like playing a game within a game.
Although you may not understand what I'm saying
Try to imagine a Micheal Jackson emulator.
