Super Mario War on PSP?

Been trying to get this one to work now that I've gotten some emulators to run (NesterJ and Rin... all the others I've tried have not worked). I just ran the tutorial for manually hard-modding the battery with one PSP and such, so I believe I have firmware 3.7 M33? Does anyone know what game I'm talking about here? I tried putting Super Mario War on my PSP, and it would let me view it in the menu (and it even played in the background while I sat on that menu option) but loading it gave me the "this game cannot be played" error. I treated it like any other emulator (put the entire folder in the GAME150 folder). Anyone else get this one to work, or know what I need to do? It would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install the 1.50 kernel?

Just tried to do that, and it says
"Press cross to begin the installation of 1.50 subset, or R to exit."
I press cross, and then something to the effect of:
"Incorrect or inexistent 1.50.prb at root"

Do you have the 1.50 update in the root of your memory stick? and is it named exactly '150.PBP'?

I don't even know what you're talking about. Sorry. I'm probably the world's worst at homebrew.
I went to that Dark-Alex website and downloaded the 1.50 kernel. But that doesn't end in pbp or anything, and now I'm lost.

If it helps you understand my PSP, because I don't get what you're saying, I don't have any files in my root. Only folders. I've got ISO, MP_ROOT, MUSIC, PICTURE, PSP, AND VIDEO.

The root of the memory stick refers to the base of the memory stick, the most outer section of the memory stick. Look for the 1.50 update file and download it then rename it to '150.PBP' and set it in the root of your memory stick.

http://psp-hacks.com/file/4 Download it, rename EBOOT.PBP to 150.PBP, place it in the root of your MS.
