I have the psp slim (star wars edition)
I'm currently running the 3.90 firmware (have to use that to play my baseball game)

All i want to do is play like snes and nes and possibly ps1 games emulated games. I've read that its possible but hard to do and others have flat out said its impossible.

Well buddy, you need to flash a CFW to your PSP. You can use Desperter Cementario for that. You also need a pandora battery, which you can get a couple of ways:

1.) Hardmod your Original slim battery.
2.) If you have a friend who can run homebrew have him/her use the pandora installer program.
3.) Buy a pre-made pandora.

I'll post a link to the Windows installer of DC in a second, along with other links.

In the mean time, go to the General Chat section and look at my Rom Paks as they come with the emulators. I'll send you one when you get to CFW :)

Ok possible stupid question here.

I do have a friend that has a old psp running custom firmware. I have a second psp battery that i was given by a friend who found it laying on the ground. Its a battery for a phat psp but it works in my psp because when i first got it i stuck it in and it worked fine but i had a b**ch of a time getting it back out due to the size. My question is. If i have somone turn this one into a pandora battery do i run the risk of hurting my psp by trying to use it? or should it be fine?

Using a Phat Battery will work just fine, It doesn't matter, as long as its a pandora :)

just get your mate to make the pandora battery using one of the many apps out there and then use roxfox's installer...its easy to use

You just need to get your friend to turn the Extra battery into a Pandora Battery with the installer program he talked about. There are several tutorials on this but i'm sure that if your friend has CFW he probably knows how to make one, or how to start anyway.

is there an easy way to make DC install different firmwares just by using the basic DC files and replacing certain ones?

I would like to find out so that whenever 4.00M33 comes out i can just modify my DC memory stick to install 4.00 instead of 3.90m33. When i made My DC5, i just used the tutorial for the first DC, and then I replaced some files, and it installs 3.90m33-3 fine now so i just left it be...

That is a waste of time... Just update to 4.00M33 when we get it.

ya...i just thought about that, the only reason i updated to DC5 was b/c a lot of my friends wanted their psp's to have CFW and i didnt feel like only getting them up to 3.71m33 and having to bring them updates on memory sticks and all that, so i just updated my DC stick so i could just give 'em 3.90m33 and then they could Network update the rest of the way.

Ok so my buddy is going to make me the pandora battery tomorrow. After he finishes that then I go to the Desperter Cementerio Win Installer link you posted and click on one of the two links for the auto installer and follow those instructions? Seems easy enough. any other suggestions or things i should be careful of?

Thanks for all your help!
