sony firmware is made to mostly stop us from using homebrew... sometimes sony dose give us somthing nice like the ps1 emuator or a browser but for the most part sony just trys to rain on ower parade. thats why no one likes sony firmware its all about dark_alex and the 3.03oe-C right now

at first it was for making the system better, putting things on that they wanted to put on it at first, like the web browser. Then it becam more of a competition of Sony vs. Homebrew, sony would make minor security patches in 2.5 and 2.6, and people hacked it, then it was just about patching these holes people found, like the GTA exploit. But it seems as if every firmware has a hole no matter how hard sony tries, some one finds kernal mode access and we get a downgrader.

sony just keeps coming out with pointless updates to stop us from using homebrew, they need to focus on better things then just wasting flash memory for security

you don't understand that if they don't try to stop us then they are (indirectly) condoning video game piracy, they have to do this so that they keeps sales, and that the other companies don't sue them for not stopping homebrew from allowing the running of emulators.

He's probably this incredibly gay flamer who wears pink spandex and dances on poles... no offense intended if anybody here has that preference

no, if corporations found out about anything like that then they can be in some serious trouble, they
have to stop it so that they can stay in the clear.
lol @ max_24_seven, go home and die.
