First of all is there any advantages of 3.71 M33 over 3.40 OE-A and if so the best way to go about doing it?

It's newer, better themes. No need for a UMD when you play iso's. Some other simple stuff. I would suggest 3.52M33-4 though if your going to upgrade. IMO, it has the best themes. You can still play ISO's without a UMD, it's newer, you can play games requiring any firmware higher then 3.40 and such. Not real big differences. I'm sure more people can outline better pros and cons.

You need to first be on 3.52 M33 in order to get to 3.71 M33.

Can't they both just use E-Z Installer?
