Yea. I could do the same with C++ :). I've been pretty lazy with it though, I haven't been studying up on it much lately.

Like blackz sorta said, bits are a amount of data. It's a measuring unit, like kilobyte. Bits aren't really used for a particular purpose, it's just a way to measure the amount of data.

And, bits by themselves are used all the time! Just look at the Pandora's battery. :P

You know what I meant crait >.> A bit can't be used for a specific purpose, just like you can't use a mile for a specific purpose. It's just for measuring things. It's what is in that bit that is used :p
