Backup loader and cIOS Question

I want to install the backup loader, but I have a question.
I installed patchmii earler, and I noticed that I also have to install cIOS36 to run the backup loader.

My question is: Is it okay to have both patchmii AND cIOS36 installed at the same time, or do I have to uninstall patchmii first?

I also have DVDX installed for DVD playback already, so I'm assuming I'll have to reinstall w/ the advanced options.

If you're talking about the patchmii patch that was just realesed to allow the shop channel, then yes that's fine. And you will need to reinstall the dvdx with advanced options.

Actually I installed patchmii for dvd playback because I thought I would be getting a modchip later (patchmii is needed for DVD movie playback if modchip is installed), but it turns out that I didn't. So now I just have patchmii installed on my wii doing nothing (that I know of). That's the patchmii I'm talking about.
And I installed the DVDX without the patchmii advanced options since I didn't have a modchip.

So after I install cIOS36, then I would need to reinstall dvdx w/ advanced options? Will DVD movie playback still work?

All right, I uninstalled DVDX and patchmii, installed cIOS36, and then reinstalled DVDX w/ advanced option IOS249. I burned a backup disc, and when I try to launch it with the loader, it says "ERROR! (ret = -4100)"
Can somebody tell me what this means and why it won't work??
