download files to the wii through the internet?

Does anyone know if their is a team out there who is trying to make a App similar to the wii internet channel that has the ability to download everyday files from the internet? If not it's ok but if a programmer read this maybe you should look into this... I know that it would open ALOT of windows... not to mention would make the wii about 1500x more wanted!!!
