Wii Power Off issue

Hey, I'm new to the forum. I did a search for this but couldn't find anything
I use Homebrew to run emulators on my Wii. Lately I've noticed that when I power down my Wii, it doesn't stop power from flowing. the rock band instruments are still getting juice from the usb and the power light doesn't change completely. I noticed my Wii was warm even after being turned off for a while. I now have to unplug and plug back in the Wii every time I want to power down.

Any ideas of causes or fixes or similar problems?
Any advice or just knowing I'm not alone on this problem would help.

Does this happen in cases where you never run brew (since restart)?

yeah, even if i don't run brew since restart, it still happens when i power down

You may have Wii Connect 24 on. If the light turns yellow instead of red, it is on. You need to go into the system settings and click on wii connect 24 and switch it to off. Let us know if that fixes your problem.
