Just starting ...

Hi all, Im new to all this and just wondered if I could get some help.

My wii is just over however old, 2 years now ? So ive decided to take the plunge and stick the HBC on it, but, I just have a few questions first.

1. Will I be able to use the wii shop channel if I install the HBC ?
2. Ive got wii system software 3.3E, is that good or bad ?
3. Is there any sort of GC or Wii loader out there in the wild ?
4. Is it worth it ?

Many Thanks in advance :D

1. Yes, the shop channel will work

2. 3.3 is good, 3.2 has the best compatibility. If you download the new pack on the front page called SoftMii, it has all the tools necassary to get started.

3. SoftMii v1.0

4. If you want emulators and backup loaders, then yes.

I'd personally keep WiiConnect24 off just in case Nintendo tries to send an upgrade through it (they haven't before). But I play backups and use the internet channel all the time and no problems here. :D
