Question about Bricked Wiis.

Hey guys I have installed the regular HBB and a few emulators. I dont really want to take a chance at "Bricking" my wii. Have Wiis been known to brick from using just those apps? thanks for any info and sorry if this has been asked. Also is downgrading a way to prevent Bricked wiis? thanks---
