After adding HB to Drivekey modded wii..nothing!

Just tried playing my backups after adding homebrew to my modded wii (wanted it to use usb loader), they no longer work?? I always found some ntsc region games didn't work & thought HB may cure that but now absolutley non of them work anymore!
If someone knows anything about this issue please direct me towards an area where I can research this. I woyuld still like to be able to solve this & use HB.
